Have you ever thought about who will (temporarily) take care of your affairs for you if you are no longer able to do so yourself? If you have an accident or suddenly fall ill and end up in the ICU department? It could be a long-term illness such as dementia.

Maybe you have heard of the living will. It is not the same as a will. With a will, you arrange to whom you leave your assets after death. A living will is a document that allows one or more persons to act on your behalf during your life. But why would you draw it up?
