Martijn Janssen appointed partner at Schaap as of 1 January 2020

Martijn Janssen (1982) has been appointed partner at Schaap Advocaten Notarissen as of 1 January 2020. Martijn is part of the Corporate Law practice group and specialises in corporate law and insolvency law. As a trustee in bankruptcy, Martijn has extensive experience in winding up bankruptcy proceedings. In addition, he assists companies in dire straits and, among other things, assists directors in liability issues. Thanks to his specialist knowledge of both areas of law, Martijn is also familiar with the M&A practice.
Martijn has been employed by Schaap since 2006. He studied Dutch law at Tilburg University and was sworn in as a lawyer in 2006. In addition to the Grotius specialisation courses ‘Financing & Securities’ and ‘Insolvency Law’, Martijn completed the ‘Financial Economics for Insolvency Practitioners Specialisation course’ (INSOLAD). Martijn is a member of the Association of Insolvency Lawyers.
